Here is the rest of today’s joke.

Harold had been talking about the senior center talent show for three weeks.
Every morning after breakfast, he sat by the kitchen window with his harmonica and played the same song. Sometimes twice. Sometimes five times, if he thought no one was listening.
His wife, Marlene, heard every note.
On talent show night, Harold walked onto the little stage in his best sweater vest. He tapped the microphone and said, “Folks, I would like to play something close to my heart.”
Marlene sat in the front row with her purse in her lap and a very patient smile on her face.
Harold played the first line. Then the second. Then he stopped and looked out at the crowd.
“Marlene,” he said, “you have heard me practice this all week. Any words of encouragement?”
She folded her hands and said, “Yes. I am encouraged that this is the last time.”
The room laughed so hard Harold had to bow twice.
And later, on the ride home, he admitted it was the best part of the act.
Did that one get you?
